Did you know that Islam represents almost one fourth of our world’s population and that Christendom has never had a concerted effort to share the Gospel with the Muslims, who traditionally have lived in the 10-40 window. However, in recent years this has changed, as there has been a significant number of Muslims migrating to Europe, the United States and countries around the world. This means that those individuals who were once out of reach of the Gospel are now our neighbors and the Mosque is now next door.
We know that God has called us to share the love of God and Jesus Christ
with the world. Now that God has sent the world of Islam to us, the question is: “What are we going to do with the Muslims in our countries and our communities?” Are we going to fear them, dislike them or ignore them? Or, are we going to share the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ with them? If so, we must know what Islam is, who are the Muslims, what do they believe and most importantly, how do we prepare ourselves as Christians to witness to this new mission field.
Welcome to GIMT
The Global Institute for Ministry and Training (GIMT), a Strategic Partner with Dr. James Cossey and USA Missions, has just announced the appointment of three International Coordinators who will schedule and facilitate Islam and Evangelism training around the globe. Dr. Blayne Waltrip will serve as the
International Coordinator for Europe and Austral-Asia; Dr. Jose Santos will oversee training for Hispanics in North and Latin America; and Reverend/Pastor Raheel Rizvi will facilitate the training and outreach in the Middle East and Far East.
The Global Institute (GIMT) is a non-profit organization established for the purpose of providing Islam and Evangelism training to local churches, States, Colleges, Universities and Conferences around the world. Its mission is to prepare laity and clergy alike with basic knowledge of what Islam is and how to share the Gospel of Christ with Muslims that God is placing in their neighborhoods, schools and places of work. There are over 1.6 billion Muslims in the world and approximately 4-6 million in America and growing.
In a world that is aflame with the barbaric Islamic Radical Terrorist and where no-one or no country is exempt from its evil influence, we as Christendom can no longer ignore the terrible cost of not carrying the saving message of Christ to the majority of Muslims who are not terrorist, but who are parents, siblings and grandparents with hopes and dreams just like each of us. Yet, they are lost behind the veil of Islam and are in need of a Savior. The Body of Christ and the Christian Community have the precious gift of the Gospel and is God’s instrument of sharing this life-giving and eternal message to the world. The question is, “Are we prepared and will we share with a people that is almost one-fourth of the world’s population as well as my neighbor next door?”
“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And, who will go for us?’ And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:8)
Pray for a Revival that will shake the foundations of Islam and reveal the True God–God Jehovah, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Son Jesus Christ the Messiah.
